If we had NASA Select readily available in Europe then I wouldn't be writing this page, but we don't...
So how can you try and keep up with the events (except of course through the net, via many of the links on these pages)? The following are details of sources for live audio or television coverage.
The Voice of America carries some details of missions and has provided coverage of events in the past. They broadcast on shortwave to Europe on 6040, 9535, 9760, 15205 kHz. VOA Europe, with a different schedule, can be found on medium wave at 1197 kHz in central Europe. It can also be found on Eutelsat II-F1 at 13 degrees East, transponder 27W (Widebeam), polarization vertical, carrier frequency 11.163 GHz; subcarrier frequencies: 7.38 MHz (left channel) and 7.56 MHz (right channel).
Single frames can be grabbed from here.
The main feed is on GTE Spacenet 2, transponder 5. The frequency is 3880 MHz at 69 degrees West longitude, with audio at 6.8 MHz. It is relayed to Pacific regions on Telstar 401 at 97 degrees West longitude, transponder 24, 4180 MHz, audio 6.8 MHz. Feeds have also been seen on TDRS East at 41 degrees West longitude, transponder 9, 4040 MHz, audio 6.8 MHz.
