The two Lacrosses are predicted to make good passes over Washington,
D.C. this week, and I'm going to try to check up on the missingness of L-1
on the fair passes of Tuesday at 21:10, Thursday at 20:30 EST and the
very good to excellent ones of Wednesday at 21:40 EST and especially
Friday at 21:00.

Last night was overcast, but there was an excellent near-zenith
pass of L-2 just now at 20:50 (00:50 8 April 1997 UT) through clear
skies, closely duplicating the predicted trajectories of L-1 on Wednesday
and Friday. L-2 (running on schedule per the latest Molczan elset) was
unmissable, and, if the weather holds, the next four days should allow
a good check as to whether L-1 is still there.
