Under similar conditions I saw STS100 and its external tank. The latter was about one degree right below the Shuttle. ET had magnitude -3 and was orange coloured. Endeavour was magnitude 0 or +1. The duration of the visibility was about 5 seconds and was at the SouthEast, quit favourable with respect to the sun.
