    thanks for the information: it is clearly the High Pressure vessel of
    the
    Upper Stage H8, made of Titanium. I have'nt checked yet the exact
    definition
    of the vessel (overwrap with some Carbon or not, type of Titanium,
    ticknesses, ...); we need to do a bit of research since the definition
    has
    changed several times these last decades. I will let you know when I'll
    find
    the exact definition.
    I discussed the point with Fernand, and we will try our best to recover
    the
    sphere: it is not so often that we have the capacity to recover an item
    which has survived a reentry, for which we have a very knowledge and
    which
    belongs to us. So David will probably contact the ad-hoc embassy to see
    what
    we can do.
