    I've seen Iridium flares so bright it made me think God had turned on his flashlight and that the end of the world was near. 
    
    Even mag -6 flares generate oohs and aahs from friends and family.

    Heavens Above predicted a mag -9 flare for my site Nagpur ,India ,at 194253 (IST)today 02 Apr. How ever the actual flare was very weak ,about the same as Regulus mag 1 .
    Is mag -9 really possible . HA also states that the max mag can be -8.
    Perhaps there was an error in computation
