See McCant formula:

where "m0" -- standard magnitude, "m_r" -- magnitude at a moment, "r"
-- distance to satellite, "psi" -- phase angle.

Also you can use another formula:

http://www.sat.belastro.net/appendix/m0_my.gif

where "psi_0" = 90 deg., "r0" = 1000 km.

These formulas absolutely identical.
