Years ago at the Eurosom 3 meeting in Edingburgh the whole group of visual
observers saw a splendid
daytime Iridium flare around noon.
Being at the centerline for a mag-8 flare we used a compass for the right
azimuth and a geotriangle
for the elevation. We adjusted our standingpoint to have the flare just
above the top of the roof.
Counting down the seconds and at zero it flared up at the predicted spot.
Was visible for a few seconds.
The AH's and OH's and "There it is""yells got the group strange views from
passers by.

Remember this was about a year after the first flares were seen.
It was recorded on video and somewhere I must have a copy.

Greetings
Leo
