i've seen several of these reports since the 4th or 5th of Apr 2014 (specific
for archival purposes) when i saw, naked eye, an object come over my location
from the south, to an almost vertical elevation and then on off to the north...
i wasn't trying to track anything at that time since i'm still learning the
ropes but when i went looking some 10+ minutes later, all my software told me
that it was USA 186... several days later i learned that i could look at the sky
via a web site for that period and it, too, showed me that USA 186 was the
object that i viewed at that time... i'm still reveling in the discovery...

anyway, to the point of this post, i had seen the object when it came out of
shadow to my south... watching it, i saw it flash twice each time it did
flash... the first was a bright flash for maybe 1 or 2 seconds and the second
flash was within a second of the first but dimmer and only about half as long...
it did this until such time as it reached my overhead and i was no longer in the
proper position to see the reflections... i don't know what the time was between
each set of flashes but i saw at least three sets of them at that time...

since i'm not (yet) set up to make and report observations like this, i have not
tried to do so... i'm only reporting this at this time to confirm that i have
also seen USA 186 flashing... am i correct in guessing that it is now tumbling
and maybe out of control? this is the only time that i've known that i've
sighted this object and i'm still quite surprised at how easily i was able to
come up with anything telling me, pretty accurately, what the object was that i
was seeing at that time... that's a pretty sad thing to admit since i've been
watching the skys for years and have never really been able to perform this feat
of majik (actually identifying an object other than ISS, MIR and some shuttles)...
