Cosmos 382 mission

In the Seventies I often observed Cosmos 382 (1970-103A, Cat-No. 4786), an
enigmatic object in an unusual orbit. In those years there were rumours about a
relation of this satellite to a possible Soviet moon program, but it was hardly
possible to get any more detailed information. Maybe now, after the fall of the
iron curtain, more is known about the mission profile and the satellite itself
(dimensions etc.). I must apologize for not having scanned the archived files,
but maybe someone has some specific information at hand or knows where this can
be found.
Greetings, Alex
