Rob,

Although there is nothing left of the Apollo
project in Earth orbit, there are many historic
objects from the early days of the space
program. Telstar 1 (62029A, NORAD 340), was the
first active-repeater communications satellite.
I recall watching some experimental live TV
transmissions from Europe, carried by Telstar,
back in 1962. It was a big event back then.

The object is less than 1 m in diameter,
and is in an eccentric, 45 deg inclination orbit.
I have observed it when near perigee, at magnitude
6 to 7.
