UARS is the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite, designed to primarily monitor
the Earth's ozone layer. It was one of the first of the "Mission to Planet
Earth" birds, launched from the Shuttle back in 1991. It has a fairly large
body wrapped in gold Mylar foil and a large solar panel array.

Hello. I observed two passes of the UARS satellite on 8/3. One at 9:15
EDT and at 10:56 EDT. What is UARS? It seems to have a yellow color. Is
this due to a covering like the Lacrosse satelites?
