Znamya was attached to a previous Progress spacecraft. It got tangled up when it was deployed and didn't open up properly. The antenna on the recent EVA was just a mechanical test to evaluate how the antenna would deploy and open up in space without any attempts to transmit signals. From what I've read the cosmonauts did not succeed in opening up the antenna at first. After the test the antenna was discarded. I've got no idea what the antenna was made out of, its size, radar cross section, or visibility.
