Hi folks:
Woke up early and is my morning 'ritual' of scanning the Southern
Sky for 47 Tuc before heading for work. Today within seconds of
sweeping in region near 47 Tuc - a bright rudy-color north bound
satellite entered my binos 7 1/2 degree FOV fields. Took two bearings -
Beta3 Tucana ( 06hr 15 min 54sec ) and near alpha Eridanus ( 06hr16min
32sec).
Back at work, using SkyMap and latest TLE from Mike's site the
satellite was identified to be Lacrosse3 r with predicited mag of +2.7.
- Another chance encounter of old 'friend'.
p/s 47 Tuc at DEC -74 is the brightest globular cluster in the sky.
