Hello again,
Who will see the first flashes of the COMETS satellite ?
Florida Today reported :
"The National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) terminated operation
of the Communications and Broadcasting Engineering Test Satellite (COMETS)
Kakehashi on Aug 6, 1999 at 23:42. The satellite was launched by the H-II Launch
Vehicle No. 5 on Feb 21, 1998. The fuel tank for the hydrazine has been emptied
out before operation was terminated.
The final orbit :
Height of apogee: 17,700 km
Height of perigee: 1,060 km
Orbital period: 5hr 28min
Orbital inclination: 30.1 degrees"
