I haven't seen so clear and dark skies in 20 years ! Usually I take positions berween one known star and one nearby, but with hundreds of stars in the 7x50 field I can't memorize the star pattern reliably. Will a tape recorder help? So, this time all observations are star appulses closer than a degree or 1.5, so the accuracy is lower than usual. NOSS 2-2 objects were more spaced than predicted, both along- and cross-track, USA 81 24 sec.late from mccants.tle 990811, and USA 116 was 11 sec. late and flared to +1 +2 +0 about 18, 8 and 4 seconds before the observation in Peg-And. Of course I saw many objects on time and several unids later identified in mccants.tle, while looking at, and photgraphing?, many Perseids. I saw four non-Perseids in about half an hour, when I was not operating computer, camera, binoculars and pen and paper. 21809 91 076E 5919 E 19990807211200900 17 35 1640500+317300 27 S+060 10 21799 91 076C 5919 E 19990807211316400 17 35 1757840+513200 27 S+060 10 21808 91 076D 5919 E 19990807211325600 17 35 1759160+511100 47 S+060 10 23728 95 066A 5919 E 19990812223022800 17 35 0053340+391000 27 I+010 10 21949 92 023A 5919 E 19990812225756200 17 35 2238700+307000 27 S -- bjorn.gimle@tieto.se (office) -- -- b_gimle@algonet.se (home) http://www.algonet.se/~b_gimle -- -- COSPAR 5919, MALMA, 59.2615 N, 18.6206 E, 33 m -- -- COSPAR 5918, HAMMARBY, 59.2985 N, 18.1045 E, 44 m -- -- SeeSat-L / Visual Satellite Observer Home Page found at -- -- http://www.satellite.eu.org/satintro.html --
