John,
    I managed to observe the Cassini also, just after it emerged from earth's shadow at 0400
UT in Aquarius, although I was viewing from a very light-polluted site and my limiting
magnitude through an 8" scope was about 10.5. Cassini was about magnitude 10 and faded to
invisibility in that 20 minutes as it sped away. I just wish I'd had darker skies.
