Hi:
I saw Mir crossing Antares in Scorpion on Aug 26 UT 12.02 on a
E-bound trip outside of my 12th storey window at 84 degree altitude. I
checked the Heavens-above for position with respect to background stars
just 30 seconds before this transit. I notice the brighter (-0.9mag) Mir
first and follow it towards Antares in poor sky here.
Didn't follow the latest news on Mir, is Mir manned or empty now?
