On Page A3 of today's (8/29) Washington Post there is a 1/2 page article on the deorbiting of the Iridium system. The text of the article may be found here: http://washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A26263-2000Aug25.html Although there is little new information in the article, it does reference the flares and contains a credited photo of a flare by Chris Dorreman - the photo at: http://www2.satellite.eu.org/image/iridfl.jpg ISS: There was a 65 deg elevation pass of the ISS in the SW last evening at 00:41 UTC; 29 August. It was slightly brighter than Arcturus and the color was as blue as I've ever seen it.
