Hi I got out tonight (august 6) to watch the ISS pass predicted for 22:50 EDT (02:50 august 7 GMT) from my location at 45.83°N, 73.91°W. Because of the trees, the ISS came into view at about 22:51 at WNW, going straight up towards the zenith. I had been watching it for less than 30 secondes when I noticed another object, coming from the NW and also going straight up towards the zenith at about the same speed as the ISS but not as bright, maybe around mag 1. Both object converged towards one another for a while. It was nice to watch them almost come together ;-) The ISS faded and disappeared at 22:53 at about 50° elevation as predicted on Heavens Above. The other object was visible for another 30 secondes or so and disappeared at about 80° elevation. I could not identify the second object as there is no fitting prediction on Heavens Above. Anyone knows what it could have been ?
