    Hello Ed,

In summer (at the northern hemisphere) the orbit of ISS is almost at right
    angles to the line Earth-Sun.
The pole-axis of the ISS orbit points towards the Sun.
ISS then stays for several days to weeks constantly in sunlight.
Jay lives near New York. But also from my location at 52 degrees north it is
    possible to
see ISS (and other sats)on more than 2 consectutive passes.
The first low in the south-east, then more up in the south and finally low
in the south-west, as the earth
rotates underneat the orbit from west to east.

    Gretings

    I don't doubt Jay's veracity but I don't understand how it's possible to
observe the ISS for more than 2 consecutive passes. In order to see the
ISS, it itself must be in sunlight while it's night at the observer's
location. For a relatively low flying object such as the ISS this can
usually happen at most for two consecutive passes.

Jay, could you please give me your location's coordinates? I'd like to
try to calculate the predictions myself.

    Thanks,
