I'd like to thank everyone again who sent in information on how it is possible for the ISS to appear in 3 or more consecutive passes. Because I mistakenly thought that this was impossible, I had written software that restricted the period that would be checked for satellite passes to that near the times of sunrise and sunset (provided the day had a relatively normal length). This was done in order to save time. It DID save time, but it also missed predicting certain actual appearances of the satellite. My prediction program now runs both slower and more surely.
