Spaceflight now reports that, the new atlas 5 rocket was launched into orbit
at 6:05 pm EDT. It was launching the hotbird 6 geo satellite. The centaur
    upper stage is 3.05 m (10 ft ) in width and 12.68 m ( 41.6 ft ) in length.
So something new in orbit to look at.

Tommorow at 1:15 am EDT a proton rocket is scheduled to blast off with
echostar 8 geo sat. The block DM stage used to put the satelllite in geo
    transfer orbit is 3.7 m in width , 6.28 m in length.
