Hi Russ, I agree with you about using a CCD or webcam to capture ISS images. Through the eyepiece its almost impossible to concentrate on manual tracking , and try to make out structure , but by recording a pass to PC , then scrutinising the resulting file its possible to make out some detail , even with a six inch scope.
