Has anybody else encountered this? I didn't open any attachments (and I normally delete spam on sight), but some email I got
created a pop-up without any obvious way to dismiss it, and quickly installed a "PlayCasino.exe" program (which I quickly deleted).

The problem now is that I get infinite stupid pop-ups on web pages that "don't have" any popups. I tried a System Restore all the
way back to August 1, but it didn't eliminate the pop-ups.

Due to reasons lost to time, I experimentally tried running my web server (with Oracle running in the background) under Windows XP.
I was lucky if it would run overnight without a hard crash. After going back to Linux, I now run for days before I have to reboot-
typically because of some minor problem, such as the screensaver not waking up when it should. Grrrr...

Roland Stalder's amazing ISS solar transit photography is featured on SpaceWeather.com today, incidentally- but SourceForge seems to
be down right now, so the ISS Transit link isn't working.
