I received this a few days ago, and unless I am really tired and missed something, I couldn't match it to anything. So I let someone else, try to id it, incase I messed up somewhere. At the July meeting I showed a video of a satellite passing through the field of view of my camera/telescope as I was preparing to observe an asteroidal occultation. At the time someone in the audience said that if I had a record of the time and coordinates, the identity of the satellite could be determined. At the time I flippantly replied "I don't care." That got a chuckle from the room, but it was an unfair and thoughtless thing to say. Well, I've been mulling that over for > a week now and decided to do something about it. Of course, I do have a record of the time and place of the satellite passage. They are: Time: 2010-July-2 at 02h 39m 24s UTC RA: 15h 14m 59s Dec: -12d 29' 01" My Earth-bound coordinates (WGS84): Long: 080d 00' 15.6" West Lat: 43d 49' 30.3" North Alt: +405 metres (MSL) _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-l
