I have many obstacles to identifying the object Aug.3 preceding ISS.
I found no TLEs for Cygnus after day 211, and all objects that I know were
attached were also attached yesterday.
With fresh Spacetrack and McCants TLE I find no other candidate within +-5
min and 3 deg.
The pass was very close to zenith, and the two tracks were only about 26'
apart, and parallell, so they are almost co-planar.
ISS was below (i.e.SE of) the leader. Unfortunately ISS entered the frame,
after the leader left the other edge, so I cannot compare or estimate
angular speed and distance.
ISS passed W of Los Angeles around 22:08 UTC, but Cygnus was supposed to
splashdown at 22:17, thus trailing ISS !
Improved image and HeavenSat map on FB "So you want to track satellites"
From Chris Jones and Leo Barhorst :
16:38, deorbited at 21:23, and splashed down off Los Angeles at 22:17
