Mars Climate Observer was launched on time at 18:45:51 UT. Through SECO-1, all appears nominal. The internal Boeing video feed was spectacular, with a camera mounted near the top of the first stage, looking down the vehicle. It was especially pretty as the first stage started tubling after separation, although they only showed a few seconds of this. Stu Huston
