Hi All, My name is Daryl Bahls. I've been a subscriber to SeeSat-L for many years, most of the time in "lurker" mode. However, I think it's time I should more formally introduce myself. I'm an Aerospace Engineer. I work for a "small" aerospace company headquartered in Seattle, WA USA. Over the past 24 years I've been fortunate to work on many space related programs, studies and proposals. Through these assignments I've worked many aspects of space system engineering covering a broad range of mission types and orbit regimes, including some interplanetary missions. Although I'm a system engineer, my area of special interest is mission analysis and design, focusing on orbital mechanics and related aspects. I don't claim to be an expert in all matters related to those subjects. For example, I'm a little weak in some of the higher math associated with the derivation of some of the more detailed orbit theory models. However, I do have a practical working knowledge of most aspects of mission analysis and design and associated orbit mechanics issues. I look forward to sharing with the group. I'll be happy to try and answer questions on topics related to any of the areas mentioned above.
