On Dec 20 a satellite called icesat will be launched into a approx 600 km 94 degree inclination orbit. The neat thing about this satellite is it has a 532 nm ( green light ) laser on board. The laser pulses at 40 times a second. So while we observe sunlight reflecting off the satellite, we should keep an eye out for that pulsing laser light. It also has an infrared laser. http://icesat.gsfc.nasa.gov Kevin _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
