Started tracking TiPS #23937 at Albireo (beta) in Cygnus using 8" dobs with
40mm eyepiece at approx 23.40.32 UT and followed for about 2 minutes when I
lost it in trees. I was able to see Ralph and Norton (don't know which was
which) and the tether is so unique that I need to see it again. In my
inverted fov the top sat flashed twice shortly before going into trees, and
I'll guess the bigger of the 2 would be Ralph and would also guess it would
probably be the flasher. No good points on this or on other obs.
This is one to see with a telescope, my first time tonite and it was very
impressive. Absolutely, positively must do again.
Temp -2 C with snow on ground and very windy, put dobs away after had chance
to see Saturn with Crab Nebula 48 minutes away come above trees.
