Finally a clear sky! Them blasted white things, kept getting in my way. I have to wake up early now, to see telstar 401 flash. I work tonight, so I don't get to enjoy the sky all night long. Anyways at 0:44:03 UTC ( Dec 4 ), I saw my first bright flash. Because I had just aimed my scope at the right area, and started to record, I know I missed alot of flashes:( Telstar 401 is getting low in the sky, no sure when I lose tracking of it. At 0:58 UTC, I saw flashes coming from a near area of sky. It turns out I saw a Cosmos 3M rocket ( SL-8 R/B ). Man was it flashing nicely. It's catalog number is 27870 ( 03-037C ). I will have to get some video of that one, on a good pass. Rest of Telstar 401 flash timings will appear tommorow, ater I get home from work. It's nice and warm out tonight, 2 degrees Celsius. Last night was cold cold cold.
