I am prepared to try to register with Watec camera the two passages of Phobos on December 14. The probe will cross the sky of my city (São Paulo, Brazil) at down and dusk from SW to NE with an estimated average magnitude (Heaven's Above) of 1.6 and 1.0 respectively. I'm posting the event in some good amateur astronomical communities in Brazil to try to get as many records as possible. Regards Carlos Bella What worries me is the time ensta time of year is very rainy, but mild cloudiness forecasts indicate the date. 2011/12/10 Paul Salanitri <paul.salanitri@gmail.com> > In a couple of days the Phobos-Grunt spacecraft will be in sunshine over > its entire orbit for about 30 hours from Tue 13 Dec 2011 17h:55m UTC to Wed > 14 Dec 2011 23h:46m > > However the best viewing will be from the Southern Hemisphere where this > coincides with pre-dawn and post-dusk. > > Paul Salanitri > -------------- next part -------------- > An HTML attachment was scrubbed... > URL: > http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/private/seesat-l/attachments/20111211/9d4a0a22/attachment.html > _______________________________________________ > Seesat-l mailing list > http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-l > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
