    Thanks for remembering that Ted! I for one was not caught by surprise and I am not
    convinced it's that sophisticated - all you need is a timer and a gyro, right? I suspect
    that many things we now do in super sophisticated ways can actually be done with
    string and duct tape as we did in the 1950s and the NK probably do now.
    
    I am surprised by how close to circular the final orbit is - that is rather unusual
    for a country's first successful satellite launch.
