I have observed 89-41A (Superbird A) with 10x50B,
it showed sharp flashes with mag 6 to 7.
First flash was close to RA 23h24m Decl -11.7 deg (2000.0).

Jim Varney (FLASH nummer 104, p.123) got FP = 11.697s
from obs 1996 Sep 29 to Oct 12.
This is very close to the half period of my obs:
23.373/2 = 11.687s
