    Hi all,

on CNN I saw liftoff time for STS-99 was 17:43.~42 UT.

22 minutes later, Endeavour and ET appears in Cygnus and 30 seconds
later they disappear in earth shadow.

The ET flows 1/2 degree 'below' the shuttle.

Shuttle was about mag -2 and ET very faint , but reddish, about
mag 2. (ET was in lower orbit and beginning with entering earth shadow
when I picked them up ?)

This was my second sighting of a shuttle and ET after launch. (First in
november 1994). In 1994 the ET was very bright, more than the shuttle.

    Bye Lutz
