On 2/17/02 at 19.01.11 viewed Starshine 3 between Capella and Menkalinan
using 10 X 50 binoculars. Very faint in a break in clouds on a snowy day.
This was my first sighting of either Starshine after a couple of attempts.
Attempted but missed seeing Starshine 2 at 6d under Pleiades 3 minutes
later. Saw Iridium #11 flare to -8 during a snow shower at 19.27.30 020az
42el, to much snow for good show. At 19.45.35 missed seeing ISS 1 and 1/2
degree under moon because of snow but did see it briefly in a break in
clouds before it went into shadow. Tonite 2/18/02 under clear skies a good
pass of ISS to 86 degree elevation, Iridium #3 flare to 0, and 1st time
sightings by me were 4 Cosmos satellites and rockets and an Apex r #23198
