Was trying to id a satellite that appeared in images that appeared in http://photos.groups.yahoo.com/group/starrynight/lst?.dir=/NAS&.src=gr&.order=&.view=t&.done=http%3a//briefcase.yahoo.com/ You need to be subscribed to that yahoo group to access the images I beleive http://groups.yahoo.com/group/StarryNight/ Looking at the info and images, to me it appears to be the following Unknown 030226 8.0 3.0 0.0 4.0 v 1 90014U 03557A 03195.08693642 0.00000000 00000-0 00000-0 0 03 2 90014 3.0191 312.9259 0015000 128.7449 231.2551 1.00270928 00 Allowing for errors Here's the guys details on the image I am a newbie to the group having just upgraded to Pro4.5. I think I may have some pictures of the same object you saw. On the 16th January at approximately 23.32 GMT we were testing a new webcam at the Norwich Astronomical Society in the UK 52deg 30.423 N 1deg 25.108E we observed a streak across the image and managed to capture several images each of 15 sec exposure. I have uploaded the images to a new folder in the photos section called NAS. The object can be seen just above M42 as a faint streak. I have tried in vain to identify the object using pro 4.5 I would be interested to hear of any more thoughts on this. Thanks I will have another more careful look. Also I realised I typed the wrong time it should be 22.32 GMT Kevin ===== COSPAR Site #1775 Long 75.6910 W, Lat 44.6062 N, altitude 100 metres __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
