> In addition we should add codes for: [deletia] >But we might have to go to a 3-line format at that point. There are obligatory blanks in the present format (http://www.celestrak.com/columns/v04n03/) that could be used creatively. For convenience when inspecting TLEs visually, I'd suggest choosing ones near the left hand side of the lines, namely 2 and 9 in line one and maybe 2 and 8 in line two. Restoring them to blanks for use in programs that want to see that shouldn't stress the state of the programming art. ;-) I'm tempted to suggest using the present classification position for non-government TLEs, but there's really no need and it might turn out to remain useful at some future time. 1W34680UX96072A 05037.68460000 .00010000 00000-0 13476-3 0 12 2Y34680Z 98.0020 102.6299 0527534 220.5041 359.8411 14.72668894 1018 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
