I agree, it has been decreasing in brightness at flare time. First night I observe it, was Jan 6. I didn't keep any data, on magnitude and phase angle. Just enjoying the show. Nice to see the milstar at 68 degrees West getting brighter, as sun get's at a lower angle to the equator. It appears brighter in Summer, then in Winter.
