1. Recently, I re-configured the list to require a more nearly exact match between a poster's sending address and the one under which he or she is subscribed. This is intended to eliminate the sporadic instances of propagation of mail from non-subscribers through the list. This change will affect subscribers who post from addresses that are similar but not identical to the one under which they have subscribed. If you find that your posts are rejected for the reason that your sending address is not on the accept list, then your options are: - always post from the same address as the one under which you subscribed - retain you subscribed address for receiving messages, and subscribe your alternate address(es) to the post-only list. This allows you to post and receive via different addresses. Information on how to subscribe to the post-only list is provided in the rejection message you receive when you attempt to post from an address not on the list. 2. I have permanently disabled the Columbia-L list because it long ago fell into disuse, and is now a potential path for mail from non-subscribers, as happened a few hours ago.
