    Notes:
    -------

    (1) A very frustrating week due to numerous power failures, over a 4 day
period we were without power for 46% of the time. Needless to say
the weather was PERFECT and with most of the lights of Cape Town
out the stars were nice and bright. One night I dared to track when
the power came on but 2 hours later it crashed again and I lost the
DVD recording with 22 satellites on it - Im sure all of Cape Town
could have heard my expressions of anger. I also lost my TV set
when a power surge blew half the integrated circuits it in !!.

The power is now back to normal ( I hope!) but we have been told we
can expect the same again in winter. All this is due to the nuclear
power station at Koeberg about 15 miles north of Cape Town. During
routine work in December on reactor #1 a bolt was left in the turbine
which damaged it. A replacement has still not been ordered for
the damaged turbine. The other reactor, #2 experienced problems on
the 18th Feb and had to be shut down, thus leaving my part of the
country - the Western Cape - without power. Attempts were made to
bring the required power down from the more northern part of South
Africa but the network could not handle the load and kept on
        tripping out.

As a result of this "power shedding" was introduced and areas
switched off. The power losses has cost the country millions in
money. Reactor #2 has to be refuelled in the next few months which
means that once again Koeberg is off line and no power for the
western Cape. I am now going to buy a generator and set up my
own power station in my back yard!

What does one do when a nuclear power stations goes wrong ?

    (2) Rather a poor tack of KH9-17 #13172 - my mount also needs some
        work done on it.

    (3) Not 100% sure that #90035 identified correctly as Intelsat 904
close to it so may have identifications wrong way around.

    (4) As a ruesult of twice loosing data "recorded" to a DVD disk as
a result of power failures, every satellite now tracked is also
recorded in real time to hard drive as a backup.

    Cheers
