Good 53 deg pass by USA 193 this morning passing close to Arcturus.( 0647 )GMT It climbed out of the NW so bright it took me a while to realise what I was looking at.....so long in fact I clean forgot to check it through the viewfinder until it was about 35 degs. Estimated mag was 0.0 , well above predicted during the early stage of the pass and nearly as bright as Arcturus itself. Fade was very fast . Range at best was about 350 km.....In three weeks time when my evening passes commence this is going to make a very interesting target.By then it will be down to below 260 km.
