http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/satcom_transits/usa193debris.jpg This morning there were about forty trackable peces of debris at orbits right through LEO to just under 1800km As can be seen in the above graphic ( Courtesy Nova For win ) , thats quite a ring of steel and , from the experience of FENGYUN 1C , it could be some time before all the pieces come up on Spacetrack ! The "stray" off the W coast of Africa has already decayed. Strange that our earlier concerns about 193 being " removed " from orbit and the resultant debris field if it was , were met with derision in certain quarters ! Strikes me this bird is coming home to roost Searching SOCRATES for USA 193 debris proximities already brings up a few interesting results.
