Here is a very accurate recent element set: USA 129 r 9.8 3.0 0.0 3.0 v 1 24681U 96072 B 97 20.09831435 .02077000 00000-0 14871-3 0 09 2 24681 97.8460 87.8600 0341970 58.5528 304.9000 15.67604427 01 Correction of Past Elset ------------------------ Also, I have discovered that both of my epoch 97015 elsets had erroneous mean motions - a simple mechanical error on my part. The correct elset was: USA 129 r 9.8 3.0 0.0 3.0 v 1 24681U 96072 B 97 17.15133102 .01650000 00000-0 34004-3 0 04 2 24681 97.8480 84.5900 0365500 69.0000 294.9700 15.56583690 08 As before, this elset closely fits Greg Roberts' 15 and 16 Jan points. Also, it agrees to within about 2 s in time with his 17 Jan observation, in which he did not obtain a point, but did measure that the object was 66 s early, and estimated it was 1 deg lower, relative Pierre's 97015.864 epoch elset. Due to the earlier erroneous mean motion, I had to increase the ndot/2 to 0.0249 to force a fit. With the correct mean motion, that problem has gone away, so I am confident of 0.0165 as the mean motion at 97017.15. Clear skies! Ted
