After a clouded New Years night and lot of smoke from the fireworks,
it cleared in the evening. Before the next rain- and stormfront moved
in I could do my first observations of 1998.

Also saw an UNID, but couldn't identify it with Skymap and Alldat.tle
from 1997DEC22. Will try again with the new file this weekend.
Two Iridiums observed, 97- 51 F at 18:43 UT Steady mag 5 and 97- 51 G
showed at 18:51:50 a maximum of mag 4. It was almost S 6 for the rest
of the pass and slowly brightend, but fast dimmed.
