Sorry folks - in my haste I omitted some detail! And I meant Globalstar 59. Here are the details of the observation While observing the Perseus region I'm sure I noticed a flare in the corner of my eye between 0 and -1 mag near alpha Persei. The only real satellite possibility would be Globalstar 59 - which had a visual magnitude of 5.4. Globalstar 59 entered shadow at this point. There is also the real possibility that my eyes are failing! Date: Jan 2nd 2001 Time: 19:48 (maximum time difference + 1 minute) Using alpha Persei as a marker the angular separation was no more than 6 degrees. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bjorn Gimle" <b.gimle@chello.se> To: <SeeSat-L@satobs.org> Sent: Thursday, January 03, 2002 9:00 AM Subject: Re: Globalstar 56 > Globalstar 56 culminated ten minutes later, was nowhere near alpha Persei, > and had shadow entry about 20:02:10 in Cetus near Eridanus. > > But Globalstar 59 DID enter shadow near this star, about 19:48:30.
