While looking for USA 144 I saw a +3 mag satellite slowly climbimg above eta Peg. Though predicted at +8.4, it faded quite slowly from its first bright state. Id-ed as #16952 86-70A, star pair not 100% certain, but only one that fits within 10 seconds. USA 144 not seen until just before it passed very close to HP #007918. From the minima observed (below) I estimate the period 114 s +-2 After the last obs it went behind our house, as I was standing on the balcony in town. 16952 86 070A 5918 G 20030126195436390 27 25 2236380+353600 18 I+030 10 25744 99 028A 5918 G 20030126195911690 27 25 0141820+423800 18 M+060 10 25744 99 028A 5918 G 20030126200015150 58 N+070 10 25744 99 028A 5918 G 20030126200153710 58 N+070 10 25744 99 028A 5918 G 20030126200351220 58 N+070 10 25744 99 028A 5918 G 20030126200551050 58 N+070 10 25744 99 028A 5918 G 20030126200736260 58 N+070 10 114000 -- bjorn.gimle@tietotech.se (office) -- -- b_gimle@algonet.se (home) http://www.algonet.se/~b_gimle -- -- COSPAR 5919, MALMA, 59.2576 N, 18.6172 E, 23 m -- -- COSPAR 5918, HAMMARBY, 59.2985 N, 18.1045 E, 44 m -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
