    Hello to everybody... I've
been lurking here for some time, reading all of the fascinating
reports, but just switched to a non-work email address to post here.

I've been reading about the much discussed destruction of a satellite via a kill vehicle, which is of course getting much news coverage (although I heard about it first via this list), and I have a question on which I'd appreciate anybody's thoughts:

Does the debris that has just been created by the satellite's destruction pose a significant threat to other spacecraft? It seems that quite a mess has just been created.

Just asking out of curiosity - many thanks in advance for any replies

    Best Regards
    Duncan
