CNN is now reporting that some satellite experts are
saying that the destruction of the FengYun1C satellite
may have producted more than 40,000 pieces of
debris. They did not say who the experts were.A U.S.
state department spokesperson say they are worried by
this debris and its effect on man spaceflight and
    commercial sats.
My question is what is the chances of this triggering
a cascading event? From what I see on the orbital
information on this debris it seems that it could be a
big danger to Leo sats.Does anyone remember if the
anti-satellite test 20 years ago by the USA cause any
damage to other satellites at that time?Does anyone
remember how much debris was produced from this test?
