About 40 minutes ago I finally managed to see the ISS Toolbag. I observed it (visually) passing close to Algol with my Meade ETX-70, 7 cm refractor @ 13.5x magnification (FOV about 4 degrees). It was faint (mag. +7 to +8) and *very* fast. Appearance was so fast that it kind of takes you by surprise: you really cannot afford to blink an eye with this object! For that reason, the stopwatch logged position below will probably not be very accurate: 33442 98 067BL 4353 G 20090127180303700 17 75 0304379+395060 16 R I had some inpression of a slow brightness variation for the very short instant it was in view. - Marco ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, the Netherlands. e-mail: sattrackcam@wanadoo.nl Cospar 4353 (Leiden): 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL Cospar 4354 (De Wilck): 52.11685 N, 4.56016 E (WGS84), -2 m ASL SatTrackCam: http://home.wanadoo.nl/marco.langbroek/satcam.html Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com ----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
